For well over a decade I have served as General Counsel to Eastwood Homes and affiliates, an almost $1B conglomerate of companies, and oversee all legal affairs for Georgia, North and South Carolina and Virginia. I have also utilized my legal network to assist various other companies with entering into business in the region, such as truss companies, professional service providers, title insurance companies and insurance and warranty businesses.My particular strengths lie in strategic planning and implementation, mergers and acquisitions, warranty, insurance and risk, financing (traditional, private equity, qualified investor), and acquisition and development (with over 900 land acquisitions worth over $2.5 billion to date). Nationally I am one of the few attorneys who has achieved such a broad based experience level in the public (former Army JAG and Assistant US Attorney) and private sectors (prior large law firm partner and insurance defense attorney at AV rated firms).I was the proud recipient of the Charlotte Business Journal and Association of Corporate Counsel - General Counsel of the Year Award in 2016.
