About Vedant Peris 🌱

My Mission: Yo! I'm Vedant, a passionate entrepreneur revolutionizing mental health in the education industry. I'm the Founder and CEO of aloeVR, and we promote student mental resilience through our mindfulness-building virtual reality experiences that are engaging, trauma-informed and culturally relevant. You can set up our experiences in a school's counselor's office, classroom or VR lab. We serve over 12 school clients, and thousands of kids across the country. Let's connect and dialogue!My Story: My parents immigrated from India, and I'm interested in research-based Indian mindfulness practices (ex. yoga, meditation). These strategies supported me in healing from my own mental health challenges, which partly originated from some bullying and racism I faced growing up. Later, as an educator at a Title I school for six years, I saw my students facing similar challenges, and more. I heard from the community a clear need for more mental health resources. Our kids need radical change, NOW.
