Job function involved leading a National team of sales & marketing professionals, responsible for generating Commercial Business for Amar Ujala Publications. This team was spread across various offices in Central, Western, Southern and Eastern India. The profile entailed ensuring a smooth and coordinated functioning of the National Commercial Media Solutions team with the objective of maximizing revenue, increasing yield and enhancing market share.Was given additional responsibility to generate business from DAVP, Government commercials, State and Central Government clients. During this period I was also heading the team responsible for interacting with various political parties and ensuring Political and election business for the UP, HP and Punjab state elections. The job involved strategizing, recognizing opportunities within Government segment and converting them into potential business for the existing editions of the publication, finding viable & balanced solutions to the situational crisis on a day-to-day basis which is integral to the basic nature of business through skillful management.

Job function entailed leading a team of marketing personnel with the objective of maximizing market share through volume and value generation. Also, developing the corporate image of the group magazines Outlook English & Saptahik, Outlook Money, Outlook Traveller and Delhi City limits.Achievements• The group magazines gained in value as well as market share in the Northern market over the previous period.• Successfully achieved and overshot the overall budget of the magazines in a highly competitive and rate sensitive market scenario.• Provided customized offerings to top of the line clients.• The northern market contributed the maximum to the overall group ad revenue.• Expanded the base of the clients by casting the net wide.• Launched "City Limits", a city specific magazine for Delhi city. Was additionally given the responsibility of leading a national team for generating business from the Government vertical and also conceptualizing and selling state features under “Outlook Spotlight”. As the Branch Head - Gurgaon, was responsible for the complete P & L, Revenue generation for all TOI Group Publications and operations of one of the biggest Response branch.Prior to this, led a 20 member team for generating revenue through display advertising - both B/W and colour across all categories. Additionally was also responsible for the industry specific verticals created within the Display team. Was responsible for the following focus sectors:• Automobiles• Telecom• Real Estate• Education.These focus groups were an extension of the display team and were required to liaise closely with the respective industries i.e. clients, apex bodies and advertising agencies.
