These technologies are based on AI and ML for advance detection/ prediction of faults in Rolling stock to increase operations reliability and safety. •Led all technical/ managerial aspects for over 295 units of systems including Wheel Impact Load Detectors (WILD), Online Monitoring of Rolling Stock systems (OMRS), Hot Axle Box Hot Wheel detectors (HAHW), Machine Vision Inspections Systems (MVIS)•Operational Head for planning, coordination, and liaison with Additional Secretaries (Ministry of Railways), regional headquarter/ field unit heads, and technical teams of OEMs for each of the technologies•Reduced online bearing failure cases in Northern Railway by 59% (Mar- Dec FY 23-24 versus Mar-Dec 22-23) through coordination with field responders to ensure intervention to advance fault prediction alerts using OMRS•Conducted factory tests and approved the sensors, equipment, and application software for the roll-out of machinery costing 400 cr ($53.6M) at pan-India level•Successfully predicted 222 potential bearing faults and 1522 wheel defects in FY 2022-23, FY 2023-24•Defined the KPIs from scratch, and designed an online dashboard for monitoring of the KPIs in real time through access to 150 key users from the Ministry level upto the field level. Led to increased responsiveness to alerts by around 15%•Analyzed downtime patterns of condition monitoring equipment. Identified 8 locations with power supply quality issues. Provided an additional stable power supply source through Overhead Traction systems at these locations, reducing downtimes by 50%. Implemented a policy to ensure such backup power supply for all condition monitoring equipment pan-India as a systemic measure•Led a cross functional team to create an Optic Fiber Cable (OFC) network for data transfer, reducing the response time for critical safety information by 35%

Kashmir Valley

Led 10 cross-functional technical and executive teams with 165 employees. Liaised with local administration and armed forces for safe train operations in the highly strategic and conflict prone region of Kashmir Valley, with a record of zero adverse incidents •Oversaw the work of two officers traditionally deployed for the same workload, including management of- trainset operations and maintenance, budgets and expenditures, manpower, and resource allocation •Revived train services in 135 km span of Kashmir Valley after 2 years of complete shutdown due to political unrest and social lockdowns •Created, finalized, and got approved from the Ministry a detailed work plan and $3M budget sanction for infrastructure expansion to facilitate connecting the Kashmir Valley to national capital through train services •Led a 12-member special technical team to successful trial and commissioning of electric locomotives in the challenging weather conditions of the Kashmir Valley •Managed in-house operations and maintenance of specialized heating systems in 15 train services daily, with limited logistical support due lack of suitable local industries and no road access to outside of the valley in harsh winters
