I am an environment policy and finance specialist with 20 years of experience in climate change, urban development, natural resource management and sustainable livelihoods. I am currently leading the Sustainable Cities Program at the GEF which has provided nearly half billion dollars grant to support sustainable urban transformation in developing countries. I am also working as a senior adaptation specialist to support programming of GEF's adaptation funds LDCF and SCCF, and building new partnerships. My areas of interest include integrated approaches for tackling climate change, nature-based solutions, innovative finance, climate and social protection linkages and circular economy. Passionate about mainstreaming environment and climate change in public policy decision making. I had the privilege to work at DFID (now FCDO) India in developing climate, urban and energy programs previously and at Emergent Ventures in leading strategic climate consultancy projects including the TNA report preparation for Bhutan. A proud alumni of PRADAN where I first applied nature based solutions for sustainable livelihoods and environmental conservation.
