Alok is a power sector and renewable energy expert with two-and-a-half decades of professional experience. He has deep hands-on experience of 15 years in renewable energy translating opportunities to reality across green-field project development, brown-field acquisitions and assured RE supply to industries. Alok has independently led and grew businesses in RE IPP space at a regional and country-head level for several MNCs related to both wind, solar and hybrid technologies for utility bids as well as industrial decarbonisation. Alok is presently with UPC Renewables India as CEO. In recent past, he was associated with Serentica Renewables, Sterlite Power and SunEdison. Alok has served energy industry in advisory/ transaction space for close to a decade with Big-Four consulting (Ernst & Young), credit-rating agency (ICRA) and multi-lateral funding institution (DfID).Alok is an Electrical Engineer from NIT (Durgapur) with a Master’s degree in finance from University of Delhi.
