Design Director/ Civil Engineer and a permanent member of DIWI’s staff with more than 30 years’ experience on all aspects of managing design from tender to project delivery, client liaison and coordination, procurement and appointment of sub-consultants and managing client delivery schedules. He has extensive experience in design of roads and infrastructure projects from inception through planning and feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed geometric and pavement design, preparation of design and construction drawings to the preparation of bidding documents world-wide, including UAE, Africa and Carribean. He has comprehensive knowledge of computer aided design and drafting, GPS and surveying software and is well versed in tendering procedures and regulations. His in-depth computer literacy includes the road design software MX for Windows (MXROAD, MXRNEW & MXDRAW), from Bentley Systems Inc., Civil Designer (STARDUST), Visual Basic for Applications, and amongst others the Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, Access, Powerpoint, MS Project). He also has working knowledge of EDSC Roadcalc and draughting software AutoCAD, Microstation etc. Besides, he is conversant with various GPS and surveying software.

Responsible for design Management of infrastructure for Al Raha Beach Development; Coordination between different disciplines – roads, bridges, utilities, landscaping, Light Rail, Geotechnical and the contractor. Also responsible for managing design verification for all design packages being issued to the contractor for construction; delivery of design packages on time, co-ordination with various utility agencies and other stake holders.

Activities performed: Geometric and pavement design, traffic analysis and contract documents for the following road projects using Computer Aided Design and Draughting software.
