FAST is UCLA's first and only fashion club which organizes a fashion show annually at UCLA with sold-out tickets for hundreds of guests. The EOC, Emergency Operations Center, is a branch under UCLA Environment, Health, and Safety. I was put on as a GIS consultant to find solutions to emergencies that present unique challenges for both emergency responders and campus officials who manage the responses in the form of an app.• Created an app and interactive map that would be used by UCLA's emergency response in the case of emergencies and disasters, including earthquakes, fire hazards, and school shootings where responders can navigate the area of emergency and read on specific data pertaining to the building, room or service area of campus to determine a best and most efficient plan of action• Employed professional GIS data management, processing, analysis, and visualization• Wrote a research note describing methodology, designed to be suitable for publication in an applied GIS peer-reviewed journal

As an intern for OC Public works, I directed a team project analyzing the efficiencies of various land planning and engineering designs, known as LID (Low Impact Developments). In my work here, I worked closely with Civil Engineers, Environmental Scientist, and Chemists in analyzing AutoCAD files and water quality samples to develop my project.• Addressed the NPDES permit program by monitoring water quality through using YSI Probes, flow meters and lab equipment to measure pollutants in various water bodies and channels throughout Orange County• Tested and conducted research on the efficiency of various environmental LIDs• Collected field data for surface water and storm drains for various TMDL projects• Presented research findings in a PowerPoint presentation to OC Public Works Board of Directors
