About Fernando A.
I have been working for more than 20 years as an engineer in the space business, in four different countries (Spain, United Kingdom, Germany and France).Currently I am Head of Planning Systems at Telespazio Germany. Previously I have worked for five years as a systems engineer and service line manager at EUMETSAT, and eight years in the European Space Agency as a Flight Dynamics engineer in Galileo, MSG-3, MSG-4 and other missions. I have also worked in Galileo for Airbus and in several ESA missions for GMV. My experience covers a wide set of areas of expertise, in which I have extensive working experience:- Software design, development and testing- Mission Analysis and Flight Dynamics- Systems EngineeringMy work experience is supported by my strong academic background, which includes a Master's thesis in the USA and an award-winning PhD thesis on the optimization of aerospace problems using Artificial Intelligence. This research was specifically applied to the optimization of interplanetary trajectories. I have published several articles related to this subject.
