In both product lines, lead the strategy, definition of roadmaps, built the organizations, and drove the development that delivered the products. One product line was based on Windows NT*, and contributed to the development of Microsoft's Cluster Server MSCS through a partnership between Microsoft and Tandem. The other product line was UNIX based and allow us to re-sell SGI Servers with value add. Subsequently the technology was re-used on our fault-tolerant dual processor Telco products. Establish metrics and measurements to understand our availability numbers of our deployed products. At Tandem spent a number of years as an individual contributor working with Unix and NT. Developing a number of prototype products and contributing to existing releases in the areas of kernel memory management, remote mirroring and overall software fault-tolerance. Also lead the development of a software fault-injection tool to ensure that our products were properly tested.
