In the IT profession I have been working around 14 years in different areas. I began as remote support technician for a major telecom company at Mexico. 2 years after I began working for one of the top 10 construction companies in Mexico, with branches on United States, Panama and Guatemala. During this period i began as a Support Technician for almost 3 years, later I was promoted to IT Infrastructure Manager where i supervised and design the transition from physical server to a virtualized environment.Also I designed the wireless and wired network on the new HQ building. On the ongoing years the next step was stabilize all the newly created systems and servers, that was achieved with a 99.9x percent of up time.The company growth on the construction business meant that temporary offices needed to be setup in different locations of Mexico. These temporary offices needed the same services as the HQ, so VPN´s and remote services where implemented making efficient the flow of information.With this growth the security concerns came by, so I implemented security measures by deploying security devices like UTM (Sophos) blocking unwanted traffic, and preventing malware, viruses, ransomware and attacks go thru.My most recent project that where successfully applied where:Deploying Remote Desktop Services, with this new deployment we achieved a new level of mobility and work in any device (phone, tablet, laptop etc.) without the need of a VPN.
