My core responsibility was to provide multi-state HR Generalist support to the operations division which consisted of approximately one hundred employees nation wide. Some of my duties included acting as the primary contact for managers & staff in matters relating to performance management, employee relations, and compensation. I successfully executed the corporate staffing process by providing a highly qualified applicant pool to hiring managers and filling various positions with successful candidates. After revitalizing the corporate employee education program, I coordinated all aspects, including scheduling & budget, of the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) program at DBSI. As always, developing, implementing & maintaining human resource policies & programs was a daily responsibility. One of the many projects that I was responsible for at DBSI, was the development and implementation of a company-wide training curriculum that focused on training newly hired or newly promoted managers at DBSI. The success of this program relied on my ability to gain buy in from the managers and executives in the organization. I gained unanimous approval from participants and managers alike by providing tools and resources that could be implemented in their day-to-day roles.

I was the sole HR contact for a staff that topped 220 employees in Idaho & Oregon. During my time with Guardian, I reduced turnover by 21% through better training of the staff & managers. I developed new corporate performance management system. In support of the new system, I trained & advised management on performance management, employment law, & employee relations on a routine basis. As the primary benefit contact for employees & third party providers, I administered employee benefits via 3rd party including 401k & FSA. In addition to company benefits, I also provided oversight on bi-weekly payroll administration through ADP.

Worked directly with the President to develop basic HR systems for his staff and team leads. Advised and assisted in the creation of an Employee Handbook that took into account strategic business goals & current employment laws. Assisted owner in developing objectives and goals for training outcomes. Concluded the assignment with the development of a progress map and milestones for the training program to anticipate business growth.

Assist Human Resource Manager with applicant screening using the PeopleSoft software program. Reviewed current Workman’s Compensation claims and processing said claims. Worked directly with Human Resource Manager to assessed training needs as it related to staffing needs.
