Assist new immigrants to the US with academic and social acclimation as part of a Social Studies high school class.

Provide live-in volunteer services in boarding home for poor rural girls in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Provide individual and group tutoring in English, French and computer skills. With resident housemother, supervise girls and their daily activities, Prepare reports and other documentation for housemother and the professional NGO staff. Provide tours for foreign visitors and general translation services for the girls as needed. Liaison with American School of Marrakesh and other American based groups in Marrakesh. US representative for EFA for fundraising and informational activities. Work closely with the executive international board for supportive activities as needed.

Provide support services to men incarcerated and awaiting parole. Provide social service information as needed. Concentration on resume building, job search skills and educational advising. Maintain an ongoing client load of 5-10 clients. Active member of the Board for the 501C3 organization. Train and supervised volunteers at work site. Represent organization at prison wide organizational meetings.

Taught English to adult Arabic and French speaking students at a Women's Professional organization in Rabat. Temporary assignment.

Taught Freshman Year Experience class to over 200 students enrolled in twoyear college program. Temporary academic advisor for the program:coordinated advisement services for over 400 students. Designed orientationprogram for incoming freshmen.

Provided volunteer companionship and family support for dying patients in a residential hospice setting.

Conducted University-wide training for over 500 faculty and staff on the University'snew Student Information system (Peoplesoft/Oracle). Designed training,marketed workshops and evaluated effectiveness of information. UsedMacromedia Captivate and Microsoft Office to create learning materials. Modifiedinformation as needed to coordinate flow of information among Student Servicepersonnel within the University. Oversaw communication related to training onthe UDSIS system. Worked closely with technical staff on evaluation andmodification of student service components of system.

Temporarily relocated to Pasadena, California. Taught Career Services program for homeless and disabled clients. Helped with skills workshops. Wrote and critiqued resumes. Conducted mock interviews with clients. Helped clients with all aspects of online job search. Worked an additional month in January of 2009.
