As a Data Analyst Consultant, I play a leadership role in conducting the statewide Capacity Assessment for the Massachusetts Public Health Excellence Grant Program, which involved 309 municipalities. I collected, cleaned, analyzed, and visualized data from three surveys and evaluated the data to prepare 50 Capacity Assessment Results Toolkits (CART) back to the communities. These toolkits were used to share data back to Share Service Arrangements (SSAs) to evaluate their ability to meet the Performance and Workforce standards, as well as determine the quality of documentation related to meeting those standards. My expertise in evaluation, data analysis, and visualization helped to identify possible recommendations and areas of improvement for SSAs to share services in an effort to meet more public health Performance and Workforce Standards.Additionally, I serve as Southcoast Public Health Coalition's Interim Regional Epidemiologist while working to hire and train a permanent epidemiologist to take over these roles and responsibilities.

As an Infectious Disease Epidemiologist at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, I conducted epidemiological investigations to mitigate the spread of infectious diseases and prevent further morbidity. As part of the Pandemic Response Team, I took on the role of the Institution of Higher Education Subject Matter Expert where I created a daily data dashboard to monitor COVID-19 cases, clusters, and isolation/quarantine capacity for more than 150 Massachusetts colleges, universities, and boarding schools. As a Pandemic Response Team Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, I consistently evaluated the effectiveness and efficiency of the COVID-19 response for the Division of Epidemiology. Additionally, as a Training Team MS Teams Expert and Quality Improvement Officer, I spearheaded the rollout and management of MS Teams across the Division of Epidemiology and created the first systematic programming series to train new epidemiologists in conducting General Epidemiological infectious disease investigations.

As a HealthMap Curator at Boston Children’s Hospital, I curated HealthMap's machine-learning algorithm to track outbreaks of disease by aggregating surveillance data from various sources. I initiated case investigations, tracked follow-up, and analyzed COVID-19 case data for Global.health, a global data repository and visualization platform that enables open access to real-time epidemiological anonymized line-list data. I utilized HealthMap's EpiCore platform, which connects health professionals around the world to request information regarding outbreaks, and geographically mapped data from HealthMap's MedFinder project. This project tracked the supply of influenza antiviral drugs from pharmacies in the United States and has been adopted by the CDC as a vaccine location tool for COVID-19 vaccinations called vaccines.gov.

As a Research Assistant, I led data analysis activities for the "Diagnosis and management of Chagas disease at a large safety-net hospital in New England" research study. I implemented processes in Excel to search over 100,000 appointments and 3,000 qualitative EKG and ECG reports to identify and report specific eligibility criteria. Once transformed and cleaned, I analyzed the eligibility criteria, demographic, medical exam, and hospital visit data in RStudio.

As an intern, I conducted an evaluation of the rabies surveillance activities on the state level. I cleaned, merged, and analyzed the data as well as the efficacy of the algorithm that matches rabies management events to rabies laboratory. Since this evaluation had not been done before, it worked to identify limitations, gaps, and ways to make the process better for future analysis. This evaluation resulted in three main recommendations that the Zoonotic Team will work to implement.
