I am an Environmental Consultant that co-runs our family business, Bionerds PTY Ltd. I am passionate about people and conservation, working as part of a dynamic duo that brings the two together to affect long term strategic conservation gains. Our services includes Surveys (biodiversity inventories, baseline datasets, species specific surveys), Biodiversity Planning (integrated management plans, standard operating guidelines, botanical search and rescue), Monitoring (audits, long and short term environmental monitoring), GIS (mapping, spatial planning, drone mapping, alien density assessments, fire management), Skills Development (adult based learning, in-field professional training, critical skills development, mentoring) and Protected Area Expansion (biodiversity stewardship, formal proclamations). I also offer a service where I bring the science and the people together in a visually appealing format which can be used to educate and inform the clients staff, guests and tourists. We work across South Africa, with our home base being the Klein Karoo in the Western Cape. We travel extensively between projects, home-school a teenager on the road and explore our natural environment during our off-time. I have previously worked in Marine Conservation, Human Resources and Travel and Tourism.
