Served the board as Executive Director and lead the transformation of Eleos from a traditional grant-making foundation, to emerging pioneers in the impact investing sector. Re-allocated 100% of our assets to generate financial returns while simultaneously having a social impact. Eleos LLC catalyzed millions of dollars investing through Eleos' special-purpose investment vehicles. Andy lead and structured rounds of financing, investing in pioneering business such as Sanergy, Liberty & Justice, Penda Heath, Copia Global, DDD, ZanaAfrica, Uncommon Cacao, eHealthpoint & Sudiksha. Eleos established and nurtured a growing community of co-investors. Collaborating with others in the sector, we hosted multiple events and conferences: “Blueprint of Impact Investing”, “Frontier of Impact Investing”. Partnering with UCSB, Andy met with and publicly interviewed multiple thought leaders and Noble Prize winners - including Dambisa Moya, Nicholas Kristoff, Leymah Gbowee, Amartya Sen. Andy led Eleos to collaborate with both investors as well as social entrepreneurs and served on the Board of Toniic as well Board Chair of Liberty & Justice.
