About Alpa Bhattacharjee

Experienced sustainability, nature-based solutions and ESG practitioner who is actively working on the development of the blue economy and the use of geo data as a catalyst for blue finance investment. By appropriately valuing nature and the ecosystems services provided by our marine and coastal ecosystems through the use of a myriad of earth observation tools and by taking a co-design approach with public and private sector stakeholders, dynamic and innovative data-driven solutions can be built. This will enable decision makers and the finance sector to get nature on balance sheet and create the policy enabling conditions and management plans to address coastal resilience, biodiversity loss and the achievement of 30x30 targets whilst also creating new investment opportunities with real economy impact.
