Improvement engineer for Dow Coating plant in Kocaeli/Turkey, as a member of Coatings Technology Center :The plant produces water based acrylic binders, opacifiers and additives for paint, textile, non-woven, or packaging industry. - Identify improvement opportunities in terms of capacity, productivity, EH&S, quality, etc. to create plant specific technology plan for short and long term.- Act as project manager on small capital projects (< 300k USD)- Owner of new scale ups & new product introductions to the plant, coordination, implementation, follow-up. (Completed 20+ scale up of emulsion polymerization processes between 2010 - 2013, from other plants globally to Gebze plant in Turkey)- Focal point for technical discussions in the hub ( between 9 plants in EMEA), to coordinate & leverage learnings

To lead the activities through pre-commisioning, commisioning and start-up of the new plant. ( 40.000m2 total area, 5x50m3 reactors,dryers,cooling towers, boilers, RO units, etc and downstream)Following successful start-up, I started to carry dual role, %50 coaching production, and %50 technical service :- Act as a consultant to customers,as a bridge between plant. Conduct customer visits ( to >40 customer plants) to identify opportunities for improvements, understand market needs, use this as input for product developments.- Optimise product range and specifications to match specific needs of customersI was promoted to Deputy Manager position in January 2010, but I accepted Dow Chemical's offer and pursued my career in Dow Chemical.
