Assistant Chief Engineer
Current• Manage the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient and effective maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and systems.• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize disruptions and prolong the lifespan of equipment and facilities.• Oversee and coordinate the completion of major engineering projects, ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with building codes and industry standards.• Manage and train engineering staff, including setting performance expectations, providing feedback and coaching, and conducting regular performance evaluations.• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the performance of the engineering department.• Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure that the hotel has access to the resources and expertise it needs to operate effectively.• Ensure that all engineering equipment and facilities are maintained to a high standard and are in compliance with all health and safety regulations.• Develop and manage budgets for the engineering department, ensuring that costs are kept under control and that projects are completed on time and within budget.• Provide leadership and direction to the engineering department, ensuring that the team is motivated and engaged and that they are contributing to the overall success of the hotel.
