I am a Spanish director and screenwriter born in 1990.As a screenwriter, I am currently working on animated series such as "SuperThings" (Filmax, Tandem Films) or "Titan Tofu" (Uniko, Ábano). As a director, I am developing several personal projects, among them, the adult-oriented animated feature film "Silence Sometimes", selected by the Spanish Film Academy’s Residency Programme and awarded at the Berlinale co-production market with the VFF Talent Highlight Award. This is the first time that an animated film is awarded this recognition in the whole story of the festival. After building a career as a copywriter, I trained as a scriptwriter and director at several schools, such as Metrópolis and Madrid Film Institute. I have since written and directed several short films, like "Umbrellas" (2020), which has received several recognition awards. These include, among others, being nominated for Best Animated Short Film at the Goya Awards 2022, being selected by over 150 national and international festivals (such as Clermont Ferrand, Uppsala or Festival du Nouveau Cinéma de Montreal), and receiving numerous awards and nominations at events like the Quirino Awards or the Fugaz Awards. As a teacher, I have held several masterclasses at various events and schools. I have also worked as a Lecturer in Screenwriting and mentor for students’ projects at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Master’s Degree in Animation), and have also acted as a Resident Assistant Master at Madrid Film Institute. I have been a jury member at different film festivals, like Calzada de Calatrava or the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival, an Academy Award qualifying festival.
