I was assigned on secondment to the British Safety Council's first subsidiary, British Safety Council India LLP. Driving the recruitment and training of the new team, working to set up the business and operational procedures and processes, ensure the smooth running of operations between the UK and India, establish business partnerships to aid delivery of services and outreach, ensuring the profitable growth of the organisation in India and set the foundations of a consistent British Safety Council culture, philosophy and approach.

Monitor and co-ordinate all project activity, generating an overall programme plan for the organisation using appropriate tools including PM Milestones Plus, MS Project and Jira.Manage projects using appropriate methodologies and frameworks such as Agile, Scrum, DSDM and Waterfall.Support all commercial projects from feasibility/tender stage to completion.Track and manage inter-dependencies between projects to mitigate resourcing pressures and other critical path risks and highlight in organisational programme. Report and mitigate any clashes or constraints and provide this input at business case stage on all projects in relation to key resources.Ensure all documentation and records are kept up to date and filed appropriately in accordance with the organisations project governance. Produce risk registers and performance reports on programme and project activities for the executive team.Submit highlight reports against key milestones and other checkpoints (gate reviews etc.).Report on lessons learned and oversee implementation of any improvements for future projects.Track benefits realisation and return on investment payback criteria / proposed outcomes and monitor financial spend against budget.Ensure full engagement of and communication with all stakeholders as required and matrix manage teams.Generate and monitor plans, schedules and priorities in line with agreed requirements outlined in the Business Case, key milestones and budgets for each stage of the project. Own the continuous improvement of the programme office protocols . Write and maintain all relevant programme office procedures and documents.Ensure the health, safety and welfare of self, team and others .Raise awareness of project management principles and help to drive project management culture in the organisation – including induction of managers and staff.
