Alshaima Alshayeb is a passionate leader who's dedicated to making communities better and more sustainable. With over 10 years of experience, she's a leading voice in the field, known for her expertise in sustainable development, community projects, and circular economy principles.Alshaima's journey began in Australia, where she gained valuable experience in various engineering roles. She then moved to Saudi Arabia and took on a key role as a Project Sustainability Officer for the National Housing Company (NHC). Here, she led the development of a groundbreaking sustainable framework, aligning it with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 goals. This resulted in the country's first Gold-level Mostadam Community Certificate.Alshaima holds a Master of Engineering (Concrete Technology & Professional Development) from the University of Technology Sydney and is a Mostadam AP. She’s also completed specialized courses at MIT on sustainability, showing her commitment to staying ahead of the curve.Alshaima is a founding member and chairperson of the Saudi Women Engineers Society, the Green Building-Saudi Omran Society, and the Heritage Building Association. She is also a keynote speaker and advisor, actively promoting best practices and policies to create a more sustainable future for the Kingdom.In her free time, she enjoys traveling, photography, and exploring art, culture, and heritage around the world.
