As the founder and creative force behind the company, I am dedicated to crafting impactful narratives that resonate with audiences.Documentary Highlights:Peluang Kedua (2023): In my latest work, "Peluang Kedua," I took on the roles of director and cinematographer. This documentary explores the concept of second chances through the compelling stories of Pannir, a death row prisoner who, while incarcerated in Singapore, founded the welfare organization 'Sebaran Kasih' (Spread Love Malaysia). The documentary served as a powerful campaign tool for the repeal of the mandatory death penalty in Malaysia, a cause that saw success in April 2023.Chilli Powder and Thinner (2021): Produced and directed an animated depiction of the torture endured by Ang in "Chilli Powder and Thinner." The project gained significant traction on YouTube, surpassing 65k views, and played a crucial role in advocating for the establishment of the Independent Police Conduct Commission in Malaysia, which was successfully passed in 2022.Poca Boy (2019): Initiated my filmmaking venture by delving into the compelling documentary "Poca Boy." Serving as the interviewer, I explored the harrowing experiences of Ang, a 16-year-old detained under the Prevention of Crime Act 1959. This project uncovered instances of torture during custody, as well as the tragic death of Ang's friend at the hands of the police, bringing attention to human rights abuses.

Right to Justice Program Coordinator | [Suara Rakyat Malaysia (SUARAM)]As the Right to Justice Program Coordinator, I dedicated myself to the pursuit of justice and human rights in Malaysia. My role involved addressing cases of police brutality, abuse, deaths in police custody, and various human rights violations. I meticulously documented and investigated these cases, seeking redress through campaigns and strategic means.Key Responsibilities:Case Handling: Managed cases involving police misconduct, abuse, and human rights violations, conducting thorough documentation and investigations.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborated with entities like SUHAKAM, EAIC, and MACC, presenting cases related to human rights violations for redress.International Engagement: Actively engaged with international bodies such as the United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention to elevate cases of gross human rights violations, providing a global perspective to our advocacy.Campaign Organization: Led a campaign for the establishment of the Independent Police Complaint and Conduct Commission (IPCC) in Malaysia. Coordinated efforts with stakeholders, including human rights groups, CSOs, legal experts, academics, parliamentary members, and government agencies.💡Achievements:A significant accomplishment was the successful campaign for the establishment of the IPCC. Through sustained advocacy and engagement with lawmakers, the parliament officially passed the IPCC in 2022. This achievement stands as a testament to our efforts in enhancing police accountability and upholding human rights standards in Malaysia.
