National Finance Coordinator
Islamic Relief is an independent non-governmental organisation (NGO) founded in the UK in 1984. Islamic Relief South Africa was registered as a Section 21 for non-profit company in 2004. Islamic Relief works with communities to strengthen their resilience to calamities and provides vital emergency aid when disasters occur.Tasks included:• Assisting the Head of Finance (HOF) ensuring the effective and efficient functioning of the department.• Supervise direct reports being the income controller and expense controller.• Filling in as a relief function for the income and expense controller as well as the HOF as may be required.• Overseeing all relevant financial policies and procedures to ensure the effective functioning of the department.• Ensuring that finance due diligence practices are upheld.• Monitoring and tracking income and expenses relative to budgets.• Submitting weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting deliverables.• The preparations for the annual financial audit.• Overseeing external compliance with SARB and other stakeholders.
