DLCSPM 2-3, was the In-Service Support team for the Canadian Armed Forces Land Command Support System (LCSS). Members were responsible for deploying and upgrading LCSS; members often designed and lead training for other Canadian Armed Forces groups on LCSS. Required an extreme amount of travel and flexibility as team members were responsible for traveling alone, or in small teams, both in and out of Canada on short notice to provide instruction and troubleshooting support. Proactively sought to become subject matter experts on a wide variety of technical subjects to cover all hardware and software issues. Took the initiative to address system wide issues or impending disasters and ensured communication between various project groups to design and implement the needed solutions.I was specifically chosen as the sole operator capable of deploying and running the Canadian Armed Forces' streaming video surveillance system during the G8/G20 summit in 2010. Despite working alone, I successfully managed the system across four different event sites, hundreds of kilometers apart, providing 24/7 operational support for 15 days.I ensured continuous support of security video streams for the Canadian Armed Forces and the RCMP, maintaining situational awareness at all times. My responsibilities included network administration, installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of various proprietary DND servers, Cisco networking devices, and VMware virtualized Windows servers.I secured Cisco networking devices using Inline Network Encryption, adhering to all relevant restrictions, laws, regulations, policies, and best practices for handling security classifications across unclassified and secret networks. Additionally, I integrated sensor data from multiple sources, including the CP-140 Deployed Mission System Center (DMSC).

    • Volunteered for deployment to Afghanistan to upgrade the command–and–control system used by the Canadian Armed Forces. The scope of this upgrade grew and became drastically more complex upon landing and obtaining firsthand information on how the system was currently operating as opposed to what was planned for. The upgrade plans were adapted on the fly to completely rebuild the system while simultaneously maintaining the operation of all mission critical system capabilities• Spearheaded the investigation and redevelopment of an unofficial intelligence dissemination system which had developed organically in theatre. Produced a declassified version for training and developed a comprehensive briefing for executive awareness of the systems capabilities. Doing this gave the Canadian Armed Forces a chance to proactively develop software which met their organizations needs at a much lower operating cost• Provided network support through administering, installing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, imaging, supporting, and maintaining various proprietary DND servers, Cisco networking devices and VMware virtualized Windows servers• Secured Cisco networking devices using Inline Network Encryption to comply with the various restrictions, laws, regulations, policies, and best practices that apply when working with security classifications• Vital services were kept online and running 24/7 to maintain the core capabilities of the LCSS as the new system was rolled out
