Mrs. Wright has over 18 years of experience in Maritime, Health, Travel Insurance, and Casualty claims/case management with a proven record in healthcare administration and claims review/processing. Throughout her career, she has served as a specialist in risk management, claims settlement, appropriateness of care, and injured workers case management. In the last 15 years, she has excelled in both account management and operational leadership roles.From 2006-2012, Mrs. Wright helped lead Equian’s Maritime Services Group—at that time under the company name Health Systems International (HSI)—after HSI acquired Express Bill Review Services (EBR) from Van Hall Health, Inc. During this period, she was instrumental in developing the following services for the Maritime industry:• Forensic bill review services• Pharmacy benefit management services for Maritime clients• Medical appointment scheduling for injured crew members• Process improvementDuring the last five years, Mrs. Wright led Equian’s Commercial Insurance negotiations. In late 2017, the decision was made to transition the leadership of Maritime operations back to Mrs. Wright as part of a renewed focus on the Maritime market. In 2019, United Health Group purchased Equian and absorbed its operations into Optum LLC.Mrs. Wright has been recognized for her results in enhancing processes and services specific to the needs of Maritime clients.Mrs. Wright is also an entrepreneur. In 2022, she started a consulting business to help medical payers reduce their medical costs through claims negotiations.
