My work as a Commercial Photographer has been vital in informing my teaching practice as well as keeping me updated with industry trends. I have a broad spectrum of clients and experience in the photography industry. These provide an invaluable tool for motivating students and providing an insight into what it takes to become a professional photographer.My working life preceding digital stills photography was in Film & Broadcasting. I believe that multi-media expertise has become ever more necessary in the digital industries which increases the need for students to attain these skills for their working future.I aim for a communicative method of teaching students that is inclusive and inspires students to experiment and stretch themselves. Along with a firm technical base, this gives our students an edge in a demanding industry.I have extensive knowledge of Canon DSLRs, Phase One, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro and Apple's FCP and HTML / CSS. In Sep 2013 I became a Phase One Certified Professional. I'm also a member of the AOP (Association of Photographers)
