About Altug Guler
After graduating from the Civil Engineering department at METU I began work as a design engineer specializing in reinforced concrete building structures. As I gained experience I realized that I should extend my engineering skills and knowledge in the field of earthquake engineering where I could make a positive difference in a seismically active country. With this motivation I studied my Master’s with focus on earthquake engineering and converted my computer programming hobby to full-time software development.In Prota, we assist our users with our structural engineering solutions. The ProtaStructure Suite is a set of integrated tools for modelling, finite element analysis, code-based design and detailing of multi-material structures. We have automated all the detailing and report generation process and made modelling a breeze to allow our users focus on their principal engineering work.We are a large team of civil and software engineers backed by leading academics. I lead this great team on both technical and operational grounds. We love working on every piece of our software and push the limits of automation.I enjoy participating diversity of sports from dancing to martial arts. I also love learning new things and new skills.
