I am responsible for R&D lab improvement projects and integration of equipment into facilities spread over the United States. For lab improvement projects I am either involved or leading efforts towards planning, permitting, procurement, execution, and handover. The role requires that I engage with an array of stakeholders internal and external to the company to define project needs, and develop plans to meet those needs. I work closely with end users to understand their test system needs, how they relate to facility needs, as well as assess existing facility capabilities, taking measures to solve any gaps. Additionally, I have acted as a project manager for multiple “special projects” that required compressed schedules in order to be the success that they were.

This $34M project is owned by the County of Riverside and features the construction of the longest bridge owned by the County. Work includes construction of a 1,460' long cast-in-place, post-tensioned concrete bridge spanning over BNSF rail-road. The bridge will rest on 18 - 13' diameter cast-in-drilled hole piles at a maximum tip depth of 98'.

Sand Canyon Grade Separation - Irvine

I helped develop and manage the quality control program for this $22M project for the Orange County Transportation Authority. The project was centered on the construction of a new steel bridge, an underground pump station and four miles of rail for rail-road. Governing specifications were Caltrans Standard Specifications 2010, Green Book Standard Specifications 2009, Irvine Ranch Water District Standard Specifications, AREMA and ACI standards & recommendations.

My primary responsibility was quality control. I was responsible for the accurate layout of the entire structure from columns to bridge deck. I was the first line of communication between the contractor and the owner for daily field issues. I played a role in submitting and ordering permanent materials for the project. I used my skills in CAD to develop plans for the layout of utilities both inside and outside of the bridge structure.
