Key duties and responsibilities* Execution of site activities as per IFC Drawings* Inspection of steel reinforcement of various structural elements (columns,retaining walls, lift walls, shear walls, ramp, stairs & flat slab) as per approvedbar bending schedule and issued for construction drawings* Monitoring cast-in-situ mass concrete activities* Submission of work inspection requests prior to setting out layout, steelreinforcement erection, formwork closing, & concrete pouring etc. and keepingrecord of WIRs* Supervision of various site activities* Handling manpower i.e. laborers, masons, scaffolders, steel fixers, carpentersalong with their foremen* Conduction of various tests such as field dry density test by sand replacement,compressive strength tests of concrete (for 4000 & 6000 psi concrete),tensile strength test and bend test of grade-60 steel reinforcement rebars,non-destructive tests of failed concrete structures (like schmidt hammer testand ultra sonic pulse velocity test) followed by testing of sample cores (corecutting test)* Submission of daily progress report (DPR) to reporting officer* Performance of quality assurance & quality control (QA QC) tasks* Closure of site observation reports (SORs) & non conformance reports (NCRs)issued by consultant company* Guiding role for steel fixers & formwork sub-contractors as per IFC drawings* Estimation of quantities from drawing (using AutoCAD)* Provision of work inspection requests to quantity surveyor & senior labtechnician that are to be used in upcoming interim payment certificate (IPC)* Submission of various method statements* Drafting letters and managing official correspondence on behalf of contractor* Generating planning schedules by the aid of software engineering tools i.e. Oracle Primavera P6, MS Project & MS Excel* Documents Preparation of engineering documents for consultant's approval* Keeping all record of concrete pouring from the start to end

Six high rise residential buildings of Askari Tower-III under construction yielded me an extravagant learning of various civil engineering practices being executed while concreting and steel reinforcement placement by engineers and contractor's site team.
