I am a Principal Associate Pro Bono Manager at Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP. I help to develop and manage the firm's pro bono program in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Asia. I help to onboard and manage pro bono projects across our offices, train and mentor new volunteers and undertake pro bono casework. Before moving into pro bono management, I specialised in volume residential property work. I have experience acting for a number of lender clients in relation to volume remortgage, equity release and conveyancing transactions, including more complex transactions involving shared ownership, staircasing, bankruptcies and trusts, as well as resolving difficult issues post-completion and dealing with premier / high value work. I provided advice to mortgage lenders on general instructions to solicitors and bespoke transactions.I also have considerable IT experience, programming case management systems to introduce new changes to improve processing times and reduce risk, to on-board new client contracts in short periods of time and to incorporate new types of work that have not previously been case managed.I am qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales. I am also qualified as a solicitor in Scotland.I am the Crohns' champion for our ability network at Eversheds Sutherland, having lived with the condition for over 20 years.
