After graduating as a vet in 2017, I took my first job in a mixed practice in North Yorkshire. I developed strong medical, surgical and client communication skills in a busy practice that provided all of its own out of hours work 365 days a year.I then moved to Leeds to an RCVS accredited hospital to further my skills and interest in small animal medicine. The practice strives to provide the highest standard of veterinary care to all of our clients, and also provides OOH services to Vets4Pets practices in the greater Leeds area. Working at Leeds Birstall has quickly strengthened all aspects of my small animal work, in particular internal medicine and emergency and critical care.In 2014/2015 I took a year out from my bachelor's degree to study Epidemiology at the Royal Veterinary College and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. A field I maintain an active interest in. The MSc reflects my focus on evidence based medicine and has helped me in both of my roles so far.
