I am a successful West Midlands based Community Grant Funding Manager, Operational Project Contract Manager and Strategic Partnership Practitioner with a wealth of experience and gravitas in both large and small organisations accustomed to working to tight budgets and schedules in a pressurised environment. I have considerable experience and significant exposure of building external strategic relationships within The West Midlands across The Charity / Third Sector and Community landscape over the last 20 yearsIn my current wide-ranging role as Grant Funding Manager at The National Lottery Community Fund in Birmingham I am responsible for the life cycle of grant making to support projects and activities that matter to people and communities. I am tasked with developing and maintaining relationships with a range of stakeholders across England. Additionally, I manage a team of Funding Officers and Funding Assistants who work locally with community organisations throughout the entire grant making cycle to approval stage. This also includes initial conversations, providing support to customers, understanding their impact and grant management. I also oversee some of the most complex partnerships that have been funded that have a significant local impact.• As a current Grants Funding Manager at The National Lottery, I have line management responsibilities and have a full understanding of grant funding principles with up to date working knowledge of the grant funding landscape available to community organisations.• Previously employed as Operational Service Delivery Manager with a large charity based in the heart of West Midlands communities I have been responsible for leading a team to support all project delivery. Additionally, my previous roles have all been in a management capacity focussing on supporting communities in the UK with previous experience of a variety of grants and funded projects.• Previously I completed a successful 3-year secondment to a West Midlands local authority to implement community strategies in a highly visible representational role requiring policy awareness and project management skills. I developed and managed a team to deliver community led initiatives utilising funding from Government Central Office• I bring extensive experience of managing operations and staff within a Third Sector / Commercial setting associated with local contract delivery primarily aimed at disadvantaged, disengaged and disaffected communities
