I'm the guy who keeps your systems running.That means writing robust, reliable software and also designing the infrastructure that it runs on. I've spent my career working with every layer of the technology stack from power and cooling up through user interface design. My focus is mainly on back-end development but I also handle a wide range of additional tasks, depending on the project. In any given week, I might deal with database performance tuning, cloud integration, configuration management, network security, or anything else that comes up.Off the clock I enjoy building IoT devices on a variety of microcontroller platforms. I find it satisfying to create code that directly interfaces with the physical world. I don't have any formal training in electrical engineering but I'm pretty handy with a soldering iron and taught myself PCB design which has been invaluable for my personal projects.
