Also responsible for calculating and reporting internal risk metrics on various power assets, monitoring aggregate exchange positions by legal entity to ensure compliance with limits and assisting in the on boarding of new brokers.Jan 10 – June 10: Gas FundamentalsProduced a weekly LNG report as well as a new weekly report comparing various views on gas supply and demand balance. Worked with traders to build a regional gas demand model and storage model to assist in translating weather to actual impacts on gas usage. In any free time, I conducted proprietary research into advanced weather topics aimed at improving the efficiency and value of weather forecasts and developing new techniques and models.Aug 09 – Oct 09: JPMorgan Markets TrainingCompleted JPMorgan’s ‘Global Markets Training Program’ for all incoming analysts/associates; conducted in New York City. The program requires approximately 60-80hrs/week, 8 weeks, of instructional classes, team projects and presentations, homework assignments and exams. Some of the topics covered included: financial math and statistics, equity valuation, credit analysis, etc. -
