Networking Engineer with Cisco and Linux. Also, deeply a Free Software advocate.I like designing long-term but effective solutions (regarding everything). Being a Network Engineer I'm no stranger to deep thinking, as others will build on top of my hits and misses.My area of expertise is Network Engineering for both the ISP and enterprise sectors. Currently I operate a simple BGP network and manage the provider-independent IPv4 and IPv6 addressing scheme. After working for an ISP so many years, I have to always consider high-availability in my designs. My day-to-day life is solving deep networking problems for our customers and designing custom solutions for enterprise customers or mass-customer projects.Now I work for a great worldwide services company with a renowned network-testing company as my key client. My current challenge is to get an even deeper knowledge for every networking protocol in a vendor-independent way.I also use Linux on a day-to-day basis. I do scripting pretty much daily. I'm frequently asked for my Linux distro hopping path: Redhat, Slackware, Arch Linux, Ubuntu and Debian. I have some Free Software projects of my own: Superkb, Notesfs, audiosum and the recently-started and super simple Caddeus, a TDD for C framework.I have a 20+ year general computing experience. I started with a 640 KB computer with MS-DOS 3.2 with GW-BASIC in 1989 with no hard disk and monochromatic monitor. Good ol' times! :-)
