Reporting to the Director of Digital Technology my role is also involved in improving the efficiency of key processes, by standardizing and automating IT systems.Key Responsibilities:* Ensure software and data systems are fit for purpose, regularly reviewed, and maintained and support the school’s vision.* As a key member of the IT Strategy Group, support the Director of Digital Technology and Senior Leadership Team in developing medium to long term plans for IT.* Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and development of school’s management Information system and other key systems in Accounts, HR and Admissions* Design and implement centralized reporting systems using SSIS, SSRS and Power BI for internal and external stakeholders.* Develop and deep understanding of the school’s workflow and data requirements by working closely with departments, to align IT and data systems with their requirements.* Maintain relationships with 3rd party software vendors to ensure any new features are properly tested and internal data requirement are not affected. * Develop data systems and policies in line with GDPR.* Manage annual software budgets.* Working with ADEK and other government agencies on the timely transfer of important data and take a lead role in improving the systems. A few of my main achievements are listed below: • Exercised hands-on approach to migrate organization-wide infrastructure hosted onsite to a fully cloud-based platform focused on Business continuity using MS Azure and Office365 platforms for main office, branch offices, and offshore sites (remote). • Steered the approach in migrating the corporate network from a physically dependent system to 100% cloud based managed architecture using SDWAN and Azure Marketplace solutions enabling “work from anywhere anytime” for all office staff. • Evaluated and implemented several line of business applications (eg: SAGE X3, SAGE People, E-Requester), Marine ERP Systems and Document Management systems as well as integration of core systems for MIS reporting using BI tools. • Lead the migration of the communication infrastructure offshore as part of achieving annualized cost of more than 50% maintaining service levels with minimal downtime and a project completion time of less than 3 months. • Implemented ITIL based service and systems for monitoring IT support activities with SLA's covering more than 13 plus offshore locations. • Orchestrated the implementation of Cyber Security Framework improving the IT security level using cutting edge technology like AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML (Machine Learning) based solutions thus moving away from conventional SIEM based approach.
