Álvaro is a Director in the Business and Innovation Consulting area of Grant Thornton. He holds a bachelor´s degree in Economics from the Complutense University of Madrid. Additionally, he complement his education, with an Advanced Programme in Venture Capital, M&A and Transaction Finance at the IEB. He started his career at Banco Santander (Global Transaction Banking - Corporate Investment Banking), and later on, he entered the world of entrepreneurship where he collaborated with different startups, mainly in the area of strategy and finance.In 2016 he founded his own startup related to technology and artificial intelligence where he led the financial and business development area. Since joining Grant Thornton in 2019, he leads projects related to market research, strategic and business plans, and due diligences for different sectors.He also has experience in designing new products and services with high added value, commercial plans and projects related to customer experience strategies and business process improvement.During his career he has successfully developed team management skills and the ability to delegate tasks in order to achieve the set milestones and objectives. Furthermore, his initiative, empathy and ability to present new solutions brings great value to the projects in which he participates.
