Uses Engineering, Science and Technology and experience to preserve the Mechanical Integrity of Assets (plant, equipment, structures, etc) so that they can continue to function in a manner that is safe, economically viable, and environmentally sustainable. Finds solutions to integrity problems as well as ensuring compliance with codes or standards. - Act as Offshore Integrity Engineer, ensuring all the required inspection tasks are carried out according to plan and reviewing results onsite, providing corrective recommendations if any anomaly is found. As SME, provide input in the Pipeline and static equipment Corrosion Management tasks.- Developed corrosion studies for offshore facilities, including fixed platforms, TLP and FPSOs, determining the various damage mechanisms and the estimated degradation rates based on design and operating condition of the analyzed systems. Such information is utilized to develop / adjust the inspection tasks of the subject systems.- Analyze the inspection findings to further adjust the surveillance and inspection strategies to monitor the found anomalies, so the appropriate maintenance strategies can be applied on time preventing failures. - Collect and verify data for "Risk Based Inspection" projects in refineries, where the design and operating conditions, as well as the inspection history of the equipment is analyzed to determine the likelihood of failure.- Develop corrosion studies for crude oil processing facilities using: API 571, design and operating conditions of static equipment and pipes, and inspection history to determine the potential damage mechanisms and the degradation rates for the corrosion circuits for RBI implementation.

Manage all integrity activities, such as visual and NDT inspection, of all static surface equipment. Perform failure analysis and issue recommendations to prevent failures reoccurrence. Maintain the "Operation, Maintenance and Emergency Manual (DOT CFR 192)" for the regulated pipelines. Develop, recommend, and review the testing strategies for PSVs and CP systems. Through the modeling of the applicable degradation mechanisms, review, analyze and issue recommendations for corrosion control, such as chemical treatment, coating, CP, etc. - Delivered the development and implementation of the IMP and related processes for the PU production systems from the wellhead to the point of sale. This scope includes well pad production equipment, interconnect piping, third party equipment, flowlines, pipelines, and compressor stations- Develop, implement and manage a RBI program for the Production Unit. Program to establish recommended inspection methods and frequencies based on assessed risk exposure and to include both non-intrusive and intrusive methods as required, which resulted in reducing the inspection cost by 80%.- Develop, implement and manage a comprehensive management program for all third party equipment utilized in the production operations- Further develop existing CP program to ensure robust protection of installed assets. Program to evaluate and recommend target thresholds and ensure adherence to the same through comprehensive monitoring and reporting systems- Responsible for the implementation and application of the PU OM&E manual (CFR 192 requirement) - Oversight the PU production chemical program, including downhole corrosion inhibitor injection, biocide, H2S scavenger, foamer, salt inhibitors, scale inhibitors, etc.- Management of the midstream and upstream corrosion control program, together with corrosion monitoring and inspection planning.- Develop, implement and manage the corrosion control program.- Root Cause Analysis / Failure Analysis.

Develop, implement and execute pipeline direct assessment programs in accordance with DOT 192 and 195 requirements, NACE standards and recent industry recommended practices.Support pipeline integrity management in the development of a risk based inspection tool for onshore and offshore pipelines.Act as a technical consultant to clients while advising IMP program process improvement.Prepare IMP technical proposals and present to the clients.To execute studies in internal and external corrosion of pipelines.To coordinate and lead pipeline integrity projects and risk analysis.Prepare and monitor deliverables, budget, and schedules.

- Top of the line corrosion in CO2 / H2S environments in the presence of acetic acid (HAc)- Corrosion testing (by weight loss and / or various electrochemical techniques) at simulated operational pressures or partial pressures of acid gases (CO2 and H2S) or corrosive agents (e.g. HAc) in the system.- Responsible for every experiment performed in the H2S flow loop at the Institute for Corrosion and Multiphase Technology.

- Reliability evaluation utilizing inspection techniques based on risk (DNV RBI, API 580).- Inspection and maintenance plan development (Woodhouse ATP Tools) of gas treatment plants, including gas sweetening units, compression plants, etc.- Reliability evaluation of crude oil production units.- Evaluation, adaptation and implementation of integrity management methodologies. .- Development and implementation of reliability methodologies (RBI) for pipelines used in the production and transport of hydrocarbon, gas and their derivatives.- Development of recommendations for the implementation of said methodologies.

- Laboratory and field evaluation of the corrosion resistance of metallic materials commonly used in production and transportation systems of hydrocarbons.- Evaluation and recommendation of corrosion inhibitors, H2S and CO2 scavenger, be they liquid or solid.- Corrosion testing by weight loss and / or various electrochemical techniques at simulated environments containing various corrosive contaminants (CO2, H2S, etc)

-Evaluation of corrosion inhibitors for high pressure natural gas compression systems (13,000 psi).

- Statistical analysis of the operational variables in the reheating ovens on the reversible train of the hot mill plant.
