As a scientist with several years of experience handling models and data, specialized in Stochastic Processes and Time Series Analysis, I have a range of well-developed abilities that go from understanding and processing abstract concepts and sophisticated theories/models to the application of those concepts and models to concrete problems. I am currently developing methods for time series analysis, with specific applications to climate and financial data.My expertise in this field means that I know how to properly understand and treat generic dynamical problems that involve some source of randomness. Most everyday problems can be seen as Stochastic Processes and modeled as such with different computational techniques. I have experience on tackling complex problems and splitting them into doable chunks that I can assign to myself or to a team on a schedule.I am also well-acquainted with the most relevant modern (as well as classical) computational techniques of statistical analysis for training ML models, and I can implement solutions on at least four modern programming languajes: Julia, R, Python, Matlab (GitHub: https://github.com/IvaroEkel). I enjoy collaborations (as a part or as leader), but I can also work independently. I posses experience in organization of events, communication of my work to colleagues or a broader public in seminars, conferences or any kind of talk. My mother tongue is Spanish and I am fluent in English. Currently I study German, completing B2 level and constantly gaining proficiency on professional language. But not everything is work in life, and I enjoy videogames (large library on steam), cinema (MUBI), cycling (trekking), hiking and cooking (mexican, italian, my own recipes, etc.) among other activities.
