J.D. Candidate Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Fort Hays State University '19After graduating from Salina South High School in 2017, I attended Fort Hays State University where I served as College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Senator & Legislative and Political Action Committee Member (2017-2019). Taking advantage of the National Student Exchange (NSE) program, I attended the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs in the fall of 2019. While in Colorado, I served as a legislative aide for U.S. Senator Michael F. Bennet’s Congressional office while simultaneously working as an office assistant for the Lutheran Refugee Services of Colorado Springs. In September 2019, I attended a World Relief Immigration Law Training that provided valuable legal resources for helping refugees, immigrants, and asylees request protection, file petitions, submit applications, and represent individuals in immigration court. I have advocated for immigrant rights my entire life and as a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipient, I've worked effortlessly to help immigrants like myself achieve their dreams.I've volunteered for Catholic Charities assisting in their summer program Prayer and Action, Sigma Chi’s Huntsman Cancer Institute, and advocated for others campaigning with political elections. Additionally, I've served as a Saline County commissioner for the Heritage Commission, as a grant review committee member for the Greater Salina Community Foundation, and as a City of Salina Youth Ambassador.I enjoy listening to music (Frank Ocean is my favorite), traveling, kayaking, Colorado mountains, playing sports and being active, watching Youtube videos, and laughing at tik toks.
