CurrentI lead the global Data team responsible for driving data, analytics and AI transformation across BBVA's wholesale areas: Commercial & Institutional Client Solutions, Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) and Sustainability. This team is designed to harness the transformative power of data, strategically aligning initiatives and fostering synergies across countries.My core responsibilities include:* Building global data capabilities: Leading the development of cross-regional data platforms that support both Commercial and CIB divisions with advanced analytics and AI-driven insights, ensuring scalability and consistency across all markets.* Strategic alignment and project portfolio management: Defining and coordinating a unified global project portfolio in collaboration with BBVA's Commercial&Institutional, CIB and Sustainability areas, maximizing global developments and asset reuse.* Advanced analytics and governance: Ensuring a globally integrated, data-driven approach to decision-making by overseeing dedicated analytics teams in each region, while implementing governance frameworks that enhance collaboration across countries and divisions.* Global stakeholder engagement: Reporting to the Global Head of Data, with functional alignment to the Global Head of Commercial & Institutional Client Solutions and the Global Head of CIB & Sustainability, ensuring that our data strategy drives business growth across BBVA’s international footprint.This role represents a strategic shift, enabling BBVA to enhance data-driven innovation and meet the evolving needs of our wholesale clients globally.
