My name is Alvin Ball, and my journey has been one of service and dedication, both to my country and to ensuring the safety and security of others. My career began in 1985 when I enlisted in the U.S. Army as a communication specialist. The skills and discipline I gained during my time in the Army laid a solid foundation for my future endeavors.In 2005, while still serving in the Army, I embarked on a new path in law enforcement with the Dallas Police Department. Balancing dual roles, I developed a deep understanding of communication and security operations, which proved invaluable in my subsequent career moves. After honorable retirements from both the Army and the Dallas Police Department, I transitioned to a challenging and rewarding role with the Department of State. As part of the Diplomatic Security Services, I operated in high-threat environments, where my experience and expertise were put to the test.Currently, I am in the process of recertifying to return to a contract position at a nondisclosure location for the Department of State. This transition period has allowed me to complete my final two classes in Homeland Security before leaving to complete my WPS III training in Amman, Jordan. In 2020, while on my last contract, I earned my associate degree in Counter Terrorism, and I am on track to complete my current degree program by the end of this year.In recent years, my focus has been on executive protection and secure transportation. My training in physical security, anti-terrorism, open-source intelligence, protective security, personnel management, and report writing have formed the basics of my work in the security industry, to mitigate risks to this country's citizens, corporate leaders, diplomats, and visiting dignitaries.My experiences have shaped me into a dedicated professional committed to the safety and security of others, and I look forward to applying my skills and knowledge in future endeavors.
