As part of the turnaround process, I have:-• Reorganised and streamlined operations department workflow to improve efficiency and to enable JIT manufacturing. This resulted in the reduction of operations department cost by 40% and raw material pricing by at least 30% in the first 12 months of taking over the operations department.• Rationalised vendors for office administration as part of the process to reduce sales and distribution cost of SGL Acotec.• Organised work schedule, defined scope of works, selected vendors and prepared government approval forms for moving factory operations to a more cost effective site.• Reformulated class II products to class III in order to minimise freight cost of exporting cargo• Designed a surface tolerant, low cost epoxy primer that has improved intercoat adhesion properties to vinylester and polyester resins.• Developed a vinylester laminating resin to cater for low cost projects in the ASEAN region.
