We are promoting equal access to medicine by pushing university administration to implement socially responsible licensing policy into their technology transfer practices, along with working in conjunction with the Free the Vaccine campaign to advocate for an accessible vaccine for COVID-19 by ensuring that COVID-19 research is accessible under nonexclusive and royalty-free licensesI am also leading the Insulin Advocacy initiative, focused on national and state advocacy fighting for insulin affordability.

I am currently pursuing neurocognitive research with Dr. Nathan Fox and Dr. Santiago Morales in the Child Development Lab at UMD. My research focuses on the Mirror Neuron System and its involvement in anxiety development through vicarious affective learning, studied utilizing EEG technology and various learning paradigms.

As an adaptive figure skating coach, I work with children aged 3-18 with physical and developmental disabilities to ice skate. During my time on the ice, I focus on developing personal and meaningful connections with students by creating a positive and encouraging environment for all ability levels.

I serve as a volunteer medical assistant at a primary care medical home for low-income adults in Montgomery County, often working with patients with no health insurance. My responsibilities include performing clinical tasks such as in-house testing (FIT testing, pregnancy testing, urinalysis, EKG’s) and triage (patient history, blood pressure, finger glucose test), along with administrative tasks such as ordering labs and diagnostic imaging, patient chart updating, and patient scheduling. I also assist patients in filling out various county health program applications such as health insurance forms and Office of Eligibility and Support Service (OESS) forms
