I’m an aspiring physical therapist looking to hone and develop my skillset. I currently serve as a Therapeutic Specialist at Evelyn Mount NE Community Center. I’m currently a 3rd year Kinesiology student at UNR. I’ve taken classes involved in motor development, health communication, personal well-being, and other health science related courses. I believe that the knowledge I’ve gained through these courses and my determination for success will make me an outstanding asset to my workplace.My major skills involve education, health/wellness communication, and team development. I’ve been able to practice and advance these skills through the following personal and professional experiences:Marching Band Drum Major:-I was responsible for educating and training my peers in our practice.-I played a major role in organizing full band rehearsals.-I was proficient and flexible in my craft, allowing me to be a skillful educator.-My positive energy kept our team motivated to improve.Academics:-I apply the knowledge concerning health/wellness communication learned in my classes to my therapeutic specialist position.-I utilize all the various tools/knowledge concerning motor development in my own training.-I practice these skills on a more personal level when I help my peers improve their health/fitness.
