MUSIC SHOULD AND CAN BE MORE THAN JUST "PARTY" AND "LOVE SONGS". SOMETIMES IT CAN BE USED TO DELIVER POWERFUL MESSAGES THAT MAKE PEOPLE THINK AND REFLECT. IT CAN DO THAT AGAIN!!I am just a regular American citizen, who has been a musician since the age of seven. Music was and is how I express what I feel.With the constant partisan political infighting, I got more and more frustrated with the people leading our country. Not Republicans or Democrats. Republicans AND Democrats. Mine is a bipartisan frustration.When they shut down the government recently and discontinued services, that was the last straw. When I realized that Congress made sure that they, the Congressmen still got paid, I thought to myself enough is enough and the song Rough Times In America just seemed to come together.The music flowed quickly and the lyrics came easy. It is not backed by a big corporate record company media organization or any political organization, although I wish it was to increase the "volume" of the message. I made the video using video clips other Americans and organizations had posted to YouTube. It just felt right. (And when you are doing things on your own, unless you are a member of the 1%, you have to be creative to keep the costs in line.) The internet is a media outlet NO ONE can control.If you agree with the message, share the page, music and video with your friends and family. People say, as an individual what can I do to change things....I said the same thing. Then I got started on this project and realized, maybe I can help get the message out. You can help spread the message. Share it with your friends and have them share it with their friends....that is how a movement gets started.....and we HAVE to start somewhere...why not here....why not now....Alvin Harrison
