Rail Services Lead
Current• Manages LSPI's fleet of Railcars. This includes strategic planning to improve overall supply chain efficiency.• Utilize data, analytics, and metrics to track overall efficiency performance.• Leads and works to remove or improve bottlenecks in the supply chain system.• Collaborates with Supply and Demand Planning team on warehouse replenishment planning.• Responsible for balancing the finished product railcar use throughout the entire supply chain network.• Monitors equipment lead times and lease vs buy terms, to fulfill on/off hire decisions that best support overall supply chain and commercial plans.• Plans, budgets, and manages costs for the rail fleet.• Embraces role of SME relative to rail for the organization, and offers logistical guidance to support awareness and specific projects.• Maintain, expand, and create new relationships with rail equipment, transportation, transloading, and warehousing vendors.• Leads, coordinates, and communicates across functionally on all contracts and rate renewals relative to rail equipment or services.• Tracks and analyzes vendor performance inclusive of capturing Work Orders in LSPI's internal tracking system.• Ensures all major maintenance, compliance, inspections, and regulatory needs are adhered to for the fleet of assets.• Responsible for ensuring the adherence to ISO Quality processes.• Accountable for maintaining required Internal Control compliant records. activities. and reports.• Keeps abreast of industry related issues, trends, and major events; and develops proper communication and guidance for the business.
