Supervising and coaching a staff strength of up to 20 officers, I manage the four teams in Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall and Malay Heritage Centre, namely the Curatorial, Operations & Estate, Outreach & Education and Programmes & Marketing teams. Both institutions achieved record visitorship figures in 2018. As GM, I strategise, spearhead, and facilitate engagements and collaborations with partners ranging from community stakeholders to foreign institutions. I also play the strategic planning role in ensuring the institutions' alignment with the objectives of NHB and the community. I took over as Acting GM of the Malay Heritage Centre from April 2018.About Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial HallSYSNMH traces Dr. Sun's revolutionary activities in the Southeast Asian region and highlights the impact of the 1911 Chinese Revolution on Singapore as well as Singapore's contributions to the Revolution. The Memorial Hall features a storyline that introduces key community leaders in the early 20th century, highlighting Nanyang as a base for Revolution while exploring the impact and influences of the 1911 Chinese Revolution on the Singapore Chinese community. The Memorial Hall also conducts periodic special exhibitions, programmes and festivals celebrating the Chinese Heritage in Singapore.About Malay Heritage CentreThe Malay Heritage Centre (MHC) provides wonderful cultural exposure and learning opportunities for visitors of all ages and interests. Situated amidst the Istana Kampong Gelam, Gedung Kuning and the surrounding Kampong Gelam precinct, the Centre acts as a vital heritage institution for the Malay community in Singapore. Through its exhibits, programmes and activities, the Centre hopes to honour the past while providing a means for present-day expression. -

I also participated in other forums such as the ASEAN Ministers Responsible for Culture & the Arts (AMCA), Senior Officials Responsible for Culture & the Arts (SOMCA), Committee on Culture & Information (COCI), etc.I held a concurrent appointment in the Partnerships Division from December 2013 to July 2014 which oversaw issues concerning the organisation's tie-ups and cooperation with private institutions such as museums, IGs and NGOs. -
