As part of the UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD) capacity building assistance in the area of e-commerce and digital economy, I support the preparation and implementation of eTrade Readiness Assessments, Action Plans and E-Commerce Strategies, mainly through regular Implementation Reviews, Capacity Building Workshops and training on the use of the eTrade Reform Tracker, as well as various stakeholder engagement and partnerships' development initiatives.

As a Consultant I led a series of UNCTAD eTrade Readiness Assessments in Burkina Faso, Malawi, Mali and Sénegal. I was also involved in the presentation of the key policy findings and recommendations from the 7 assessments conducted by UNCTAD in African LDCs at a High-Level Ministerial Roundtable at the Africa eCommerce week in Nairobi (14-18 December '18), and I moderated a session with Government representatives from Togo, Uganda and Vanuatu at the Stock-taking Workshop on lessons learned and best practises for the conduct and implementation of the eTrade Readiness Assessments, at the UNCTAD eCommerce Week in Geneva (1-5 April 2019).

Lead Trade-related Technical Assistance Expert for the following assignments: i) Needs analysis and formulation of a public-sector Trade Capacity Strengthening program in Tunisia to support negotiation and implementation of African trade agreements (COMESA, AfCFTA) as part of the GIZ PEMA project;ii) Results-Oriented Monitoring of the EU contribution to the 2nd phase of the Enhanced Integrated Framework;iii)Final evaluation of the ACP-EU Technical Barriers to Trade (ACP-TBT) Programme;iv) Support to the Tanzania Ministry of Trade and Industry to develop a project proposal to be funded through the SADC Trade Related Facility;v) Update of the Union of the Comoros Medium Term Plan for Trade Integration (2016-2019);- Project coordination, management and implementation advise for the following successfully concluded assignments:i) Final Evaluation of EU-ASEAN Cooperation Project on the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights (ECAP III Phase II);ii) Targeted support to enhance CARIFORUM-EU EPA implementation;iii) 11th EDF Design of a Regional Trade Facilitation Programme for COMESA- In charge of leading the business development process through market intelligence and client relations, elaboration of technical and financial proposals, building consultants' teams for a variety of donor-funded tenders, particularly in the areas of Trade and Regional Integration.
